Localize app screenshots without breaking the design
Adapt the message—not just the words—while keeping every language readable, reviewable and connected to one consistent visual system.

Start from the store locale model
Apple lets you localize app information, including screenshots and previews, for supported languages. Google Play likewise recommends localizing visible screenshot text for each language and market.
Plan one source set and a locale matrix. Record the headline, subheadline, reviewer and completion state for every screenshot rather than copying files into loosely named folders.
- Keep product names and protected terms consistent
- Give translators the screenshot context
- Review copy inside the final layout
- Use native-language QA for priority markets
Design for expansion and script differences
Translated copy can be shorter, much longer or visually denser than English. Set a maximum text width, controlled line height and minimum font size, then adjust the message when the layout still overflows.
Do not compress a translation until it becomes unreadable. Shorten the copy with a translator, or use a locale-specific composition when required. Right-to-left scripts also need alignment and reading-order review.
Use a repeatable production workflow
StoreHalo keeps locale copy separate from the visual composition and supports CSV import and export. That makes it easier to send strings for translation, re-import them, inspect overflow warnings and export consistent locale sets.
Before publishing, confirm that each localized screenshot matches the current UI language and does not display unavailable features or region-specific claims.
